It's hard to explain in words. Moments when the light brings out the hidden qualities of an ordinary object, or a farmer's gesture emits a certain charm that touches my heart, or the texture of an object when captured with care makes me feel its presence - our presence. When I take photographs I want to capture that which makes me feel part and parcel of something greater. Good photography brings me into the beauty of the present moment, and not just rests in the fond memories of the past.

Through these photographs, my hope and desire is to resonate with those of you who have had these experiences or aspire to have, and want to make it a small part of your day to day life.
Having been charmed by images since my early childhood, I picked up a point-and-shoot camera when I was about ten. A completely manual Pentax Spotmatic camera and two prime lenses were my companion for many years to come. In many ways it shaped my visual sense, timing and patience for the right moment.
My background has given me exposure to biological sciences, arts, advertising, programming and internet technologies. I also love singing, playing tabla (Indian drums), audio engineering, reading and writing poetry, and (admitting snobbishly) brewing the perfect cup of tea. All these areas have one thing in common - they help me understand the miracles of life. Photography is just like a startup; it combines innovative thinking and the inspiration that comes with it.
